Gary holds a Bacelor of Surveying from UNSW and after a 25 year career as a Surveyor in Australia, the UK and Europe, including 13 years running his own surveying business, he served as Federal Member for Eden-Monaro from 1996 till 2007. His parliamentary career included being the Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister with responsibility for water reform and the Science, Engineering & Technology unit and as Special Minister of State during which time his responsibilities included e-Government. He was appointed Chairman of VEKTA Pty Ltd in April 2010. He is also the Chairman of the Tasmanian Spatial Information Council and a Director of the Spatial Industries Business Association. Gary is an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Surveyors, Australia and the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute of Australia. He was the 2009 winner for Professional Eminence & Excellence in Spatial Sciences at the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards. |

Malcolm is the Managing Director of Vekta Pty Ltd and has had over 22 years experience as a director of survey and spatial companies and 35 years in the industry. He has a comprehensive understanding of most of the survey and spatial disciplines and has contributed to the profession at the local, national and international levels for over two decades. His areas of expertise are land and engineering surveying and also strategic planning, project management, financial management, contracts administration and QA and OHS. |

David Sinclair is a surveyor by profession, with a bachelor degree in Applied Science and thirty years business experience in the private sector. He also worked for the government sector in Papua New Guinea for three years. David has a project management, business development and corporate governance focus. He has managed World Bank and international aid agency projects, has been responsible for Australian Excellence Award winning projects, and has been national chairman of spatial industry associations. He has over twenty years experience as a director of Vekta and its predecessor firms and is responsible for sustainable business growth. David is the 1997 recipient of the Institution of Surveyors Queensland Harry Ward Medal in recognition as Queensland's "Surveyor of the Year". Currently he is actively involved in the advancement of the profession through board directorships of the Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA) and CSQC P/L. |

Leo Watts is a qualified Surveyor, having earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) in 1986 and a Graduate Diploma in Mapping & Surveying in 1988. In 1995 Leo was appointed Production Manager and in 2000 he became the Queensland State Manager. Leo has been a Director for over 5 years and at the end of 2008 he relinquished his role as State Manager in order to focus full-time on the Board of Directors as the Chief Operating Officer. |

Bernie Moriarty is a Surveyor and Photogrammetrist with over 30 years experience in the spatial data industry in Australia and internationally. Bernie is a past Chairman of the Surveying of Consulting Surveyors (NSW) and the Surveying and Mapping Industry Council (NSW). He is also a member of the Australian Photogrammetric Society, the Australian Surveying Industry Advisory Council, and a Fellow of the Institution of Surveyors. In 2001 he was awarded "Professional Surveyor of the Year" by the Institute of Surveyors (NSW). He is currently the Chairman of the Association of Consulting Surveyors, Australia. |
