Holcim Stockpile Audit
The Holcim Stockpile Audit is a bi-annual program to measure stockpile volumes and update photogrammetric mapping at nearly 50 sites across four Australian states. Vekta has been involved in this program for over 20 years.
Project details
- Holcim Australia operates hard rock, sand and gravel quarries for the manufacture of concrete and asphalt products. Vekta performs bi-annual aerial flyovers of the quarry sites for Holcim in order to capture a regular series of data and imagery.
- Using stereoscopic aerial imagery, stockpiles are identified and volumes measured. Results are provided to the client for quality control purposes.
- Specific sites are targeted during each flyover for photogrammetric update mapping. Vector data is supplied to the client and also used to produce orthophotos.
- Geo-referenced orthophotos are overlaid with contours, title and cadastral boundaries, and any other relevant feature information requested by the client.
