Karara Iron Ore
The Karara iron ore project is located around 250 kilometres south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia. The project is for Gindalbie Metals Ltd and its joint venture partner, Chinese steelmaker Ansteel.
It will produce 30 million tonnes per year of concentrate and it will become the foundation customer for the Oakajee port and rail infrastructure.
Vekta was engaged by Doric Group to assist in the construction of the permanent 1200 room accommodation village.
Project details
- Assisted subcontractors with survey services.
- Set out all buildings, roads and ancillary services and as-constructed surveys of underground services.
- Preparation of associated plans and drawings.
