Airborne Laser Scanning

Vekta offers airborne laser scanning (LiDAR) as an alternative to traditional photogrammetry for the collection of terrain data. We continue a long association with Leica Geosystems in selecting platforms which best meet the needs of our clients and our business.

Vekta uses the Leica ALS60, the third generation of Leica LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) systems. It is the most technologically advanced aerial surveying system on the market and the first of its kind in Australia. The system is coupled with a Leica RCD 105 medium format digital camera to allow for the simultaneous collection of detailed surface and image information.

The system compliments existing aerial and ground survey services. This capability is delivered with the same quality service and innovation which has become our trademark.
